A unique course for yoga and word lovers

Philip Xerri has decades of experience in yoga and pranayama; and he has combined his wealth of knowledge with other passions of his… and announces a long-awaited weekend course that “…has been swirling around in my mind for a long time now.”

It may be a course you’d like to add to your personal learning, or even as a continual professional developement course.

The weekend is aimed at combining practical sessions of Pranayama and Yoga with Philip and plenty of opportunities to ‘share’, ‘perform’ a poem, a story, some prose that you may have written, or indeed one that is close to your heart. Or, just sit back and enjoy the performances.

“I have been moved over the last year or so into writing and performing poems and stories. They are mostly to do with Yoga and various other spiritual disciples. They aim to bring to life such concepts as Karma, Prana, the Yoga Sutras, The Four Noble Truths etc. etc. In many cases they also aim to do this with an undercurrent of humour. They are mostly ‘yogic’ in nature – but not all; like all literature they look at all aspects of life.”

DO YOU HAVE A POEM, A SHORT STORY that you have written and would like to perform – or see performed! DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE POEM, SHORT STORY that you would like to share!

The weekend will be a mixture of the course title:

Friday: an evening of poems/stories etc.

Saturday: starts at 7.30am and finishes at 8pm

Sunday: includes a morning session 7.30 – 9am of Yoga and Pranayama with Philip

The course takes place at The George Hotel, Lichfield, Staffs, on January 20 – 22, 2017

Lichfield is a beautiful small city dominated by its famous three spired Cathedral. The George is a three star hotel situated in the centre of Lichfield.

Basically the concept is that if you want to share/perform, a number of 15/20 minute slots will be allocated before the weekend so that a provisional programme can be organised. You would need to say how much time you needed – the number of slots available will of course be dependent on what is asked for by participants.

It is absolutely fine if you do not want to share. Simply come and enjoy the Yoga and the various performances. The weekend is also open to partners/friends etc. who may not want to do the Yoga, but may, or may not, wish to participate in the readings.

Cost per person: Single  £265   Twin/Double  £235

All rooms are en suite.
